Outplacement

Career Dimensions has offered outplacement counseling for employees of Xerox, Experian, Dave & Busters, DART, and Pillsbury among others. We collaborate with candidates to determine their job search needs and tailor a customized program to achieve their goals. A comprehensive Career Success Workbook and the Myers Briggs Type Indicator provide exercises, testing and information on all aspects of the job search process.

Our outplacement program includes:

– Assessing skills, values and interests to develop an ideal job description

– Researching choices to find the best career match

– Building a contact network to access the hidden job market

– Writing and producing resumes and cover letters that get interviews

– Practicing and mastering effective interviewing techniques

– Negotiating for increased salary and responsibility in the new position

– Overcoming barriers such as age, lack of experience or education

– Balancing priorities, setting goals and planning strategies for success.

Fees for individual candidate are $250 per hour or $3000 for an entire program, plus $125 for materials.

We also have a One-Day Job Search Workshop available for organizations with a limited budget and, a group of employees who need outplacement services. This hands-on seminar will teach participants to:

– Identify their transferable and specialized skills

– Assess their personal/work values and personality traits

– Describe their satisfying work environment and preferred compensation

– Develop a two-minute commercial

– Network to uncover 85% of the jobs never advertised

– Write resumes that get results and

– Interview effectively.
 

The fee for this workshop is $495 per person per day including materials. Our staff can also offer a combination of workshop and individual counseling tailored to your company's needs.
