Instructor Training
Prior to enrolling in Instructor
Certification Training, we recommend participation in a Lifespace/Workspace
workshop or one-to-one consulting with a certified instructor. There
are advantages in doing this.
– You can experience Lifespace/Workspace as it was designed.
– You can begin to
experiment with a transfer of frameworks into your own life and/or
professional setting before committing to instructor training.
– You can assess how the Lifespace/Workspace process enhances
your own personal growth.
Lack of participation in a group or as
an individual before the workshop will not prevent you from learning
to conduct the process, but participation is likely to be quite
useful in increasing your learning. We do have self-paced booklets
available, which can be completed if no one in your area is
certified in the Lifespace/Workspace process. Contact either
Dr.
Gary G. John or
Taunee Besson and one of us will work with you
on-line and/or by phone.

Certification Evaluation
After successfully completing the
Lifespace/Workspace certification training, you are qualified to
begin working with groups or individual clients. We recommend you start as soon as possible. Experience indicates that the more quickly you
involve yourself with the process, the more you
will retain it, and the faster you will become an effective and
certified instructor.
After each of your individual or group sessions,
you will return the evaluation forms directly to Career Dimensions.
Once we receive them, we summarize our responses and use them as a
basis for confirming your certification, recommending areas for
further practice before certification, or suggesting additional
training.
We will review these forms and send you
our comments. After you have completed three presentations of Lifespace/Workspace or facilitated
three individual sessions with clients, you are eligible for
certification review. Certification needs to be completed
within one year, preferably within the first six to twelve months
following participation in a Lifespace/Workspace workshop or working
with a certified facilitator one-on-one.

Certification
Certification acknowledges that you have
successfully completed the entire program and have demonstrated your
competence in Lifespace/Workspace based on
positive evaluations from your participants. Certification also
provides assurance to consumers that you have bonefide qualifications
the can trust.
Certification allows you to advertise
yourself as a Certified Lifespace/Workspace facilitator (CLWF). You may
also use it for Professional Development Credits from the
Institute for Career Certification International.
Occasionally, the authors or a training
associate, the person who conducts the Instructor Training
Certification, decide that an individual is not ready to offer
Lifespace/Workspace on their own. In these cases, we will recommend
additional preparation, such as further training or participation in
a Lifespace/Workspace group or individual consultation with the
certified training associate or the authors.

|
 |
Staying Current
Following the basic facilitator
training and evaluation, there is an ongoing program that keeps certificants
current on new applications and their facilitation. Conference calls and/or review workshops may
be offered to stay abreast of new developments. Certified
professionals and those in training will be sent updates and
additions for their Lifespace/Workspace
Instructor's Manual as they are completed,
